Hearing Aid Services: Regular Cleaning

An UBHearing™ Regular Cleaning is recommended two to four times per year for those clients who have trouble performing basic cleaning tasks.  The frequency of required cleaning is as unique as the individual and is based on usage (do you wear your hearing aids only to special events, or do you wear them all day every day), and considerations such as whether your ears produce excessive wax or moisture, which is a challenge for the small electronic components.  These factors determine how frequently you will require hearing aid service.

While all UBHearing™ clients are trained to perform basic, daily cleaning of their hearing aids, regular visits to the clinic every three to six months will ensure that your hearing aids and ears are free from wax and debris.  We disinfect your hearing aids, replace domes and wax guards, clean battery contacts, and use a micro-vac to remove any debris from hard to reach places.  We then perform a sound integrity check on your hearing aids to determine whether, over the intervening months, they have become distorted of have lost any power or volume.  

By allowing us to perform hearing aid cleaning, clients who struggle performing basic hearing aid cleaning tasks ensure their hearing aids are in good repair and often have hearing aids that may last years longer than those who forgo this critical hearing aid service.
